Embrace Your Unique Journey Through Menopause

Menopause is a significant life transition, and while it can bring challenges, it can also be a time of reflection, growth, and renewed self-understanding. I am Kathryn, an Occupational Therapist supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. I offer practical, evidence-based strategies alongside compassionate coaching to help you navigate this stage in a way that feels right for you.

It is common for menopause to feel overwhelming at times. Changes in energy, thinking, sleep, and emotions can affect daily life, relationships, and how you see yourself. You don’t have to manage this alone. Together, we gently explore what is changing and focus on nurturing your mind, body, and emotional well-being.

Menopause can occur naturally or as a result of medical treatment or surgery. However it unfolds, your experience is personal. Hormonal changes can influence your routines, roles, and sense of identity. My role is to help you understand these changes and support you to live in a way that aligns with your values and supports your wellbeing.

I am listed on the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Service Finder, a national directory connecting women with health professionals who support menopause following cancer treatment or surgery. This reflects my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy and menopause coaching to support daily function, confidence, and quality of life.

What Makes My Approach Different?

With 25+ years as an Occupational Therapist and personal experience of perimenopause and menopause, I support women with empathy, understanding, and practical guidance.

Menopause can weave into every part of life, physically, emotionally, and socially, and midlife often feels overwhelming with work, family, and personal changes.

Symptoms like fatigue, low energy, brain fog, night sweats, mood changes, sleep disruption, and reduced confidence can affect daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.

Through practical strategies, guidance, and support, women gain tools to navigate these changes, maintain routines, and feel more in control throughout this transition.

Feel in Control of Your Energy and Well-being

I provide a personalised occupational therapy approach to support women through perimenopause and menopause.

  • Listen & Understand: Explore your story, symptoms, and daily routines. Discuss hot flushes, night sweats, fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, feelings of overwhelm &, sleep disruption, and how they affect work, relationships, and wellbeing.

  • Make Sense Together: Understand how your body, brain, and nervous system respond to hormonal changes, and learn practical strategies to manage day-to-day challenges.

  • Pause & Reflect: Tune into what matters most to you and try small, practical strategies that fit your rhythm.

  • Participate in Life Meaningfully: Apply strategies in work, family, and leisure, revisiting approaches as your priorities and menopause journey change.

From the first session, we focus on what matters most to you, supporting energy, focus, independence, and overall well-being. Guidance is grounded in my experience as a registered Occupational Therapist with specialised menopause training.

Practical, personalised care for every stage of your menopause journey

Menopause is a significant life transition, and every woman experiences it differently. For some, the changes happen gradually. For others, menopause may occur earlier or be medically induced through surgery or cancer treatment, making the experience feel sudden or more intense.

No matter how it unfolds, menopause can affect daily life in many ways, including energy, memory, sleep, relationships, identity, and confidence in managing everyday activities. When usual roles, routines, or activities no longer feel manageable or meaningful, occupational therapy calls this occupational disruption.

As an Occupational Therapist and menopause wellbeing practitioner, I offer a gentle, evidence-based approach to help you make sense of these changes. Together, we explore practical strategies, adapt daily routines, and reconnect you with what matters most, supporting your wellbeing and sense of self at every stage of menopause.

Your journey does not happen in isolation. If you choose, I can also support the involvement of family or loved ones, helping build understanding, connection, and shared support during this transition, always guided by your comfort and preferences.

Restore Balance, Energy, and Confidence Through Menopause

I provide thoughtful, personalised support for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, helping you explore ways to feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your daily life.

My approach honours the whole person, body, mind, and emotions, and focuses on nourishing food, gentle movement, restorative sleep, emotional wellbeing, meaningful connection, and practical routines. Together, we explore small, sustainable changes that can support energy, clarity, and a sense of purpose.

Through a blend of occupational therapy and menopause coaching, I work with you to manage challenges such as brain fog, fatigue, mood shifts, and feeling overwhelmed by self-care. You’ll discover practical strategies, build confidence, and strengthen your connection to your values, so daily life feels more manageable and aligned with what matters to you.

This mind–body approach recognises menopause as a deeply personal life transition. I walk alongside you, offering compassionate guidance so you feel supported, understood, and empowered to live fully at home, at work, and in your relationships.

A holistic, lifestyle-based approach is recommended to support women’s health and quality of life during the menopausal transition.
